Responsibilities
As Senior Manager, Software Engineering at Imagine Pediatrics, you will partner with product leaders and stakeholders to deliver tech-enabled solutions that advance our mission of ensuring every child with special healthcare needs receives the care and support they deserve. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building, developing, and mentoring a team of software engineers, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitating the execution of our technical roadmap, emphasizing data-driven decisions, timely and iterative product development, simplicity, and value delivery.
- Continuously supporting the professional growth and development of engineers on the team by providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Communicating with business stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into technical architecture and requirements, including estimating product scopes and timelines.
- Collaborating with the team to contribute to technical solutions that meet business requirements, with a focus on scalability, stability, efficiency, maintainability, and extensibility.
Requirements
- 9+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineers.
- Prior experience at a hypergrowth company is required; healthcare experience is preferred.
- Experience managing teams with oversight across a cloud-based tech stack (AWS preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven history of effective asynchronous and remote collaboration.
- A continuous drive to clear obstacles for your team to enable them to perform at their best; willingness to tackle unfamiliar challenges to achieve this.
- Passion for developing engineers in a full range of professional skills; experience developing peers or managing managers is preferred.
- Ability to balance speed to proof-of-concept with the development of robust, ideal systems.
- Experience driving organization-wide initiatives to improve engineering outcomes.

The role includes a base salary range of $200,000 - $220,000, an annual bonus incentive, a competitive company benefits package, and eligibility for an employee equity purchase program (as applicable). Compensation will be determined by analyzing job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, which may cause variations.
