Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. They require distributed systems experience, deep expertise in AWS cloud services including EC2, RDS, EKS, CloudFront, ECR, S3, IAM, CodeBuild, Lambda, and Route53, and in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes. Furthermore, they must have experience building tools and enabling automation for their teams, utilizing at least one programming language, and demonstrate a pattern of systems thinking leading to organizational impact.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, the individual will design and build scalable processes and solutions to fundamental engineering challenges, manage scalable and secure AWS infrastructure, partner with the Quality Team to own the CI/CD processes and enable fast, safe and frequent deployments, contribute to and evolve Kubernetes infrastructure and strategy, build and manage safe self-service methods for teams using tools like Terraform, champion observability (o11y) by owning o11y systems and establishing best practices, participate in incident management and disaster recovery processes, and partner with FinOps and feature teams to manage infrastructure spending. They will also work closely with the VP of Engineering and senior leaders to address current challenges and build new capabilities, fostering strong relationships with product and QA organizations.
