Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, construction management, or related field
  • 10+ years of rail and transit experience working as part of a project team (highly desired)
  • Experience working for or with an Owner’s Project Manager or the MBTA (highly desired)
  • Experience in public design and construction (strongly preferred)
  • Experience working on MGL c149A Projects, construction management at risk (CMAR) delivery (strongly desired)
  • Available to work full-time, Monday through Friday; occasional weekend work required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Exceptional ability to remain organized and handle multiple action items simultaneously
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and e-Builder (strongly recommended)
  • Physically located in Eastern Massachusetts
  • Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; able to lift up to 15 pounds; extended hours in front of a computer screen
  • Cognitive: Problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form

Responsibilities

  • Overall project management and coordination of activities
  • Following up on action items
  • Attending meetings with the client and project stakeholders
  • Generating meeting minutes
  • Managing and assisting project staff (consultants and client personnel)
  • Visiting active construction sites
  • Developing and preparing progress reports and presentations
  • Performing other duties required to support the client and project(s)
  • Working closely with the existing PMA OPM team
