Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
Candidates must have proven experience as a Product Manager in infrastructure, platform, or distributed systems, with a track record of driving technical roadmaps from strategy to execution. A strong technical understanding of large-scale infrastructure systems, including distributed systems, cloud infra, networking, or node operations, is required, along with hands-on experience with infrastructure tooling such as Kubernetes, containerization, auto-scaling, CI/CD pipelines, or monitoring/observability systems. Demonstrated success building scalable platforms or infra products that support external operators, contributors, or customers is essential, as is the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear product strategy and priorities. Experience leading cross-functional projects that span engineering, product, and operations teams, along with strategic foresight to anticipate future scaling challenges, is also necessary. Preferred requirements include a deep understanding of infrastructure systems and distributed architectures, ideally with hands-on experience in validators, node operations, or blockchain middleware, and proven experience working on platform or infra products that required scaling across large complex environments. Familiarity with auto-scaling solutions such as Kubernetes, prior background in DevOps, SRE, or distributed systems engineering, experience building infra in mission-critical environments, and knowledge of blockchain ecosystems are also preferred.
The Product Manager for Node Operator Infrastructure will own the technical backbone that enables operators to run at scale. This includes designing systems, tooling, and architecture to support the growing demand of the Chainlink operator ecosystem without compromising security, decentralization, or reliability. Responsibilities involve partnering closely with engineering teams to build resilient deployment pipelines, seamless configuration management, and automated scaling solutions. The role requires owning the Node Operator infrastructure roadmap, setting the vision, and driving execution. It also involves shaping the long-term scaling strategy for Node Operators, influencing core infrastructure and architecture decisions, and driving innovation in operator workflows to enable faster, safer, and more efficient deployments. Aligning cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, economics, product, and NOP relations, around infrastructure priorities to ensure coherent execution is also a key responsibility.
Decentralized oracle network for blockchain data
Chainlink Labs provides infrastructure for connecting real-world data with blockchain technology, enabling secure data transfer across various blockchain networks. Its main product is a decentralized oracle network that ensures the accuracy and reliability of data used in smart contracts, addressing the "Blockchain Oracle Problem." This service is essential for financial institutions, startups, and developers who require trustworthy data for transactions. Chainlink Labs has facilitated over $9 trillion in transaction value and serves a diverse clientele, including major financial institutions. The company operates on a business model where clients pay for access to its oracle network, ensuring a steady revenue stream as demand for secure data grows. The goal of Chainlink Labs is to transform global markets by enabling verifiable data transfer, contributing to a more economically fair world.
