Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design in a software product company
  • Excellent communication skills (able to clearly articulate design decisions)
  • A strong design point-of-view and a high level of comfort with opposing opinions
  • Experience participating in and facilitating design research, design sprints & ideation sessions
  • Demonstrated experience in building and shipping applications or software (mobile/web)
  • Experience working from and contributing to established design systems/design language
  • Ability to handle complex user requirements and translate them into coherent design solutions
  • User-Centered Mindset: Ability to advocate for user needs throughout the design and development process
  • Strong problem-solving skills, fast learning, and an ability to work with data
  • An understanding of the product life cycle, from research through prototyping to design & usability testing
  • Experience designing for diverse groups of people (international audiences)
  • The ability to think and envision how things should work/move/interact with users to create delightful experiences
  • Extensive mastery of Figma/Sketch/InVision and other prototyping tools
  • Submit portfolio or work samples as part of the application process

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex problems for global users and set standards for UI components, interaction patterns, and product and visual design
  • Take ownership end-to-end, from research through prototyping to design and usability testing
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and content strategists to oversee user experience from conception to launch
  • Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for users
  • Emphasize a strong product strategy and vision (not just 'how should this look' but also 'what should we build next') to meet and enhance business goals
  • Take part in defining a design system to be used across multiple products and platforms
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive teams
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers to continually reiterate and improve
