Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 4 years as an HR Business Partner supporting a technology organization
  • Proven experience successfully partnering with senior software engineering leaders (Director+), understanding the unique challenges and dynamics of a technical team and able to speak their language
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate short to medium term problems and build solutions from the ground up without extensive direction; natural problem-solver who takes initiative
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior HR professionals on a variety of people-related topics
  • Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, engagement initiatives, and change management
  • Proven ability to navigate and succeed in a complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Strategic Partner: Proactively engage with engineering leaders (VP+) and managers to understand business challenges, anticipate people-related issues, and build scalable solutions. Act as a trusted advisor and coach on all people matters, from organizational design to talent planning
  • Drive Performance and Development: Lead and facilitate critical HR processes, including performance calibrations and talent reviews. Partner with leaders to foster a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and professional growth within the engineering teams
  • Manage Employee Relations and Investigations: Independently investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing clear guidance and support to engineering leaders and employees
  • Champion Culture and Engagement: Assist with the design and execution of action plans based on engagement survey data
  • Mentor and Develop: Act as a mentor for junior members of the People team, providing guidance and sharing expertise in complex business partnering, employee relations, and stakeholder management
  • Navigate and Innovate: Thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Use data and insights to develop dynamic solutions to novel problems, balancing the needs of the business with the well-being of our people
