As a Senior New Business Specialist I, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by processing financial transactions, problem resolution, and communicating with and/or creating correspondence for producers, field offices, and external interested parties.


Responsibilities

  • Review, evaluate, and process case work as assigned according to department procedures.
  • Update workflow and administrative systems and document files as appropriate.
  • Communicate with and/or create correspondence for producers, field offices, and external interested parties.
  • Ensure financial transactions are completed based on all regulatory requirements.
  • Support workflow management by working the various functions as assigned and proactively continuing to build upon processing knowledge and skills.
  • Adapt quickly to changing responsibilities and maintain effective knowledge of other tasks previously assigned.
  • Leverage training opportunities to develop new skills toward more complex processing.

Requirements

  • Strong customer experience skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to process efficiently in multiple operational systems.
  • Strong customer skills with 1-2 years’ experience in a related customer service role.
  • Analytical skills and ability to think outside the box and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Motivation and ability to learn new concepts quickly and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and anticipate and respond to requests for service.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Business writing and ability to communicate effectively based on audience (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency including basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Adept at learning new technical skills and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
