Requirements

Candidates should possess 8+ years of professional software development experience, along with experience building financial calculation engines or working with complex mathematical computations, an understanding of insurance industry concepts particularly life insurance products, experience with actuarial calculations, present value computations, or financial modeling, familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in financial services, experience working with distributed systems that handle sensitive financial data, experience with relational databases and complex data modeling, and experience designing APIs for financial systems.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Software Engineer, Life & Annuity Specialist, you will develop systems and provide technical leadership to software teams, supporting complex insurance product calculations, policy administration, and regulatory compliance for cash-value insurance products; leverage your experience with insurance software and expertise with insurance products to influence software architecture decisions; help build new platform capabilities that can handle complex actuarial calculations, investment tracking, and policy value computations; work remotely, requiring effective written communication and teleconference skills; and collaborate with teams across Bestow to plan and execute the product roadmap for these sophisticated financial products.
