Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within a research and development (R&D) environment. Demonstrated mechanical engineering problem-solving skills are required, along with experience in the medical device industry and proficiency with 3D CAD modeling (Creo Preferred).
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will assist in researching, designing, developing, modifying, and verifying mechanical components for medical devices, translating design inputs into engineering specifications and producing sub-system level designs. You will develop and analyze solutions, prototyping options to provide proof of concept, collaborate with various teams to support project success, analyze and correct product design issues, apply knowledge of clinical procedures, participate in prototyping and testing, support the creation of engineering documentation, and follow R&D procedures like design controls and risk management. You will also identify and suggest improvements to procedures, assist in executing complex team projects, and support the design/development/launch process.
