Candidates should possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of software development experience in modern C++ (C++17 or higher), including proficiency in the C++ Standard library, modern language features, and build systems such as Bazel. Strong foundations in software engineering, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures are required, as is experience with multi-threading in C++.
The Senior Motion Planning Engineer will develop and implement robust tooling and testing solutions for the Motion Planner stack, ensuring code is production-ready and well-documented. They will continuously improve the system's design for modularity and expandability, work closely with users to understand their requirements and deliver impactful solutions, provide ongoing support for reported issues, assess and prioritize issue criticality, and take ownership of specific components while driving their technical roadmap. Furthermore, they will support team members by improving development practices and participating in ideation sessions.
