Requirements

  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Conversational-level Japanese
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related engineering areas (e.g., product engineering, manufacturing/production engineering, operations, service operations, or supply management)
  • Good understanding of Linux and experience using Linux
  • Experience using git
  • Experience developing ERP system requirements or customizing ERP systems such as SAP
  • Ability to create and review electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to understand C/C++, Python code, and bash script
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely provisioning and testing of hardware, maintaining high standards of quality and delivery
  • Create and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs); train and support operators to ensure consistent and safe execution of manufacturing tasks
  • Oversee raw material procurement and inventory control to support uninterrupted production
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing process issues, classify deviations, and make rework decisions to minimize production downtime
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with finished products deployed to internal customers (e.g., Mujin US, Mujin Europe); act as a technical point of contact for product-related claims, failures, or malfunctions post-deployment
