Senior Manager, SMB Sales Recruiting

Position Overview

Motive is seeking a Senior Manager, SMB Sales Recruiting to spearhead the hiring strategy and execution for our SMB Sales organization. This role involves close collaboration with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Talent Leadership to attract, engage, and hire top-performing sales talent at scale. You will lead a team of recruiters, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience while meeting ambitious headcount goals. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position for individuals who excel in high-growth, fast-paced environments and are passionate about building impactful sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the SMB Sales recruiting team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Recruiting Strategy: Develop and execute a scalable recruiting strategy to support ongoing hiring goals across the SMB Sales organization.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with Sales and GTM leadership to gain a deep understanding of business needs, headcount plans, and team structures.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor key hiring metrics, report on pipeline health, and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Candidate Experience: Champion a high-quality candidate experience throughout the entire hiring funnel, from sourcing to offer.
  • Inclusive Hiring: Drive inclusive hiring practices to ensure the attraction and hiring of talent from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of recruiting experience.
  • 4+ years of experience leading high-volume sales recruiting teams.
  • Proven success in hiring inside sales, SDRs/BDRs, and/or SMB Account Executives at scale.
  • Strong experience partnering with Sales or Revenue leaders, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
  • Experience building and optimizing recruiting processes, reporting, and ATS workflows.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort managing to metrics and KPIs.
  • Passion for coaching recruiters and developing high-performing teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Transparency: Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units.

Compensation Ranges: The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. Motive uses three geographic zones to determine pay range.

  • San Francisco, California: $170,000 - $190,000 USD
  • U.S. metropolitan areas (Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City Area, Seattle, Washington D.C.): $160,000 - $180,000 USD
  • Other locations in the United States: $150,000 - $170,000 USD
