The Solution Architect, Workday Extend and Prism will be responsible for managing Workday Extend, including ideation, solution development, application development, and maintenance. This role will collaborate closely with Business, HR, IT, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure that Workday Extend applications effectively meet these needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ideate, Develop and Maintain: Create and maintain custom Workday Extend applications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Business, HR, IT, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure Extend applications meet these needs.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Extend applications, including process flows and technical specifications.
  • Workday Extend Expertise: Serve as a Workday Extend expert with deep knowledge of design concepts and touchpoints with relevant functional areas, considering future product direction.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in Workday Integrations, APIs (REST and SOAP), and Workday Security.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure Workday Extend applications are built with appropriate security, reliability, and deliver an exceptional user experience.
  • Testing and Deployment: Manage the testing and deployment of Workday Extend applications, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring thorough testing.
  • Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with Workday releases and new features, evaluating and implementing new functionality as appropriate.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring team members are engaged, motivated, and productive.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in HR technology, with a specific focus on Workday Extend.
    • Strong technical skills, including demonstrated experience with Workday Extend.
    • Knowledge of XML, XSLT, Web Services, SOAP, REST, JSON, Javascript, and other integration technologies.
    • Experience with EIBs, Packaged Connectors, Web services, and other integration tools.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Demonstrates a focus on improving processes, structures, and knowledge.
