Position Overview

Ellevation Education is seeking a people-first Senior HR Business Partner to join our People team. This role is ideal for an HR leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, culture, and coaching. You will be instrumental in solving complex people issues and ensuring our overall and functional people strategies align with and support the business strategy. The successful candidate will be skilled in managing employee relations, acting as a trusted thought partner, driving people programs, and developing a deep understanding of our business strategy and goals. Experience in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that values its people, mission, and culture is critical.

Responsibilities and Timeline

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Immerse yourself in Ellevation’s mission, culture, and values.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Ellevation’s values, business model, and how the Sr. Business Partner works with internal stakeholders to drive results.
  • Build productive cross-functional relationships with the Ellevation and Curriculum Associates People and Culture team.
  • Begin supporting employee relations cases with empathy and clarity.

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Advise leaders on org design, performance management, and cultural dynamics.
  • Use data and insight to shape talent strategies that drive high performance.
  • Independently guide managers through sensitive employee issues with discretion and fairness.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Propose and launch new or enhanced programs that reinforce our business strategy and employee experience.
  • Lead high-impact coaching and change management efforts across multiple teams.
  • Translate complex talent challenges into practical, scalable solutions.

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Be recognized as a trusted, go-to thought partner for leaders across the business.
  • Drive company-wide impact through change leadership, people insights, and talent strategy execution.

About You

  • 10+ years in progressive HR roles (tech experience a plus).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and applications.
  • A strategic, trusted, and credible partner with experience providing expert employee relations and consultative services to executives, management, and employees.
  • A provider of consistent, excellent service, going above and beyond to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to effectively work with diverse personalities on often sensitive employee relations issues, maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to use data to provide executive-level recommendations.
  • Possesses a "roll up the sleeves" mentality with strong planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident presence.
  • Highly responsive, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to be flexible, handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency, and take initiative to work independently.
  • Experience researching and interpreting employment laws (state and federal) accurately and consistently.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 per year

Ellevation is transparent about its approach to pay, which includes a competitive base salary, annual performance-based raise, and bonus (or commission for sales positions). The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000, commensurate with candidate experience and internal parity. Our philosophy is that the full range is indicative of growth during employment. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits to all full-time employees.
