Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 4+ years’ experience in Finance and Accounting
- 2+ years’ plant controller/cost in manufacturing environment
- Preferred: MBA, CPA, CMA and Green or Black Belt designation
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to lead/drive financial performance
- Preferred: TPM/Lean/Six Sigma knowledge
- Preferred: Solid understanding of accounting concepts and practices
- Preferred: Demonstrated history of process improvement and critical thinking
- Preferred: Strong numerical aptitude, analytical and problem solving skills
- Preferred: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- Preferred: Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Preferred: Skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
- Manages all accounting procedures related to month end close process, such as accruals, journal entry preparation, variance analysis
- Provides operational support with capital equipment authorization, asset management and inventory control (cycle count process)
- Prepares monthly plant forecast
- Assures policies are being followed in accordance with SOX, GAAP and Corporate Policy
- Recommends improvements and helps guide the plant / supply chain through change while positively influencing others
- Prepares and analyzes financial reports including providing financial information for all plant departments
- Engages operation team during audit function to assure policies are being followed; recommends improvements and drive changes
- Participates in the annual budget process, calculates and updates plant overhead rates and insures overall integrity of plant budget
- Financial representative on TPM projects
