Salary Range: $132,000 - $253,000 USD (dependent on location, experience, and internal pay equity)

Position Overview

NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding Field Applications Engineer (FAE) with a focus on datacenter system and network design for AI computing. This role is crucial for our mission to bring groundbreaking enterprise AI solutions to the world. As a specialist in system design, networking, and a leader to our customers, you will be instrumental in helping them deliver world-class datacenter platforms and AI solutions. Your primary responsibilities will involve technical engagement for OEM system design-in of NVIDIA AI computing solutions, working across internal functions and ensuring a positive customer experience.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Technical Specialization: Act as a technical specialist on datacenter products, directly supporting partner engineering groups and sales account managers.
  • Solution Delivery: Work closely with the wider team to deliver outstanding AI datacenter solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Solve complex hardware design-in and deployment issues.
  • Onsite Support: Provide onsite support for system design-in engagements with our partners.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively establish technical relationships with customer engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
  • Deployment Support: Provide technical support for the deployments of our partners' enterprise solutions.
  • Training: Deliver technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
  • Internal Collaboration: Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.

What We Need to See

  • Education: BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 6+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware.
    • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability: Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
  • Multitasking: Ability to multitask effectively in a multifaceted environment.
  • Organization: Excellent time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very sophisticated projects.
  • Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd

  • Enterprise Server Design: In-depth knowledge of enterprise server design.
  • Large-Scale Deployments: Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
  • Technology Expertise: Knowledge of PCIe, Platform Management, InfiniBand, Ethernet, etc.
  • Embedded Systems: Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
  • OEM Experience: Experience working with OEMs in the enterprise compute, AI, and HPC space.
