Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • FCAW and GMAW Welding skills
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Operation of various hand and power tools
  • Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis, up to 11 hours/day
  • Ability to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs
  • Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a frequent basis
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
  • Tolerance for exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees
  • Ability to work in areas requiring hearing protection due to noise
  • Tolerance for exposure to varying amounts of dust and dirt
  • Ability to work on concrete surfaces
  • Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone

Responsibilities

  • Process various raw materials for fabrication of semi-complex fabricated parts
  • Interpret drawings to fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts to meet tolerances and product operating requirements
  • Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
  • Perform FCAW and GMAW Welding from basic blueprints
  • Perform basic operations using hand and power tools including but not limited to chipping hammers and grinders
  • Drive continuous improvement process and conduct daily housekeeping/5S audits
  • Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues such as faulty consumables
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers, and peers to produce a quality product in a timely manner
  • Contribute to division results and performance
  • Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
