High School diploma or equivalent
FCAW and GMAW Welding skills
Basic blueprint reading
Operation of various hand and power tools
Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis, up to 11 hours/day
Ability to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb and descend stairs
Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a frequent basis
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
Tolerance for exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees
Ability to work in areas requiring hearing protection due to noise
Tolerance for exposure to varying amounts of dust and dirt
Ability to work on concrete surfaces
Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone

Responsibilities

Process various raw materials for fabrication of semi-complex fabricated parts
Interpret drawings to fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts to meet tolerances and product operating requirements
Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
Perform FCAW and GMAW Welding from basic blueprints
Perform basic operations using hand and power tools including but not limited to chipping hammers and grinders
Drive continuous improvement process and conduct daily housekeeping/5S audits
Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues such as faulty consumables
Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers, and peers to produce a quality product in a timely manner
Contribute to division results and performance
Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
