This role is for a Senior Engineering Manager within the Engineering team at Jellyfish. The position focuses on leading an engineering team responsible for supporting and expanding the company’s ETL system. The manager will partner with a product manager, drive continuous improvement, and align team efforts with overall company strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong interest or experience building and leading teams developing SaaS platforms.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Great at asking questions, figuring out what needs to be done, building consensus, and executing.
  • Love of learning new things and teaching others what you know.
  • Excited about data and measuring/quantifying successful engineering teams.
  • Humility, a performance-driven attitude, and a team-player approach are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team responsible for supporting and expanding the ETL system.
  • Directly manage engineers on your team and matrix-manage other engineers in the organization as needed.
  • Partner with a peer product manager on team strategy and roadmap.
  • Be involved in technical decision making through architecture, design, or code review.
  • Drive continuous improvement in your team’s process, delivery, and quality.
  • Work with other engineering leaders on alignment of your team's efforts to overall company strategy.
  • Actively promote a culture supportive of growth and inclusion.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
