Requirements
Candidates must have experience in global administration and support of MS Azure, AWS, OCI, and other distributed computing systems globally, with the ability to provide direct technical support for planning, coordination, scripting, and implementation of upgrades or changes to the MS Azure environment. They should also possess knowledge of capacity planning, performance monitoring, and platform tuning, along with experience in workload cost optimization within MS Azure. A basic understanding of programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, .NET, or C# is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will perform deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of high availability enterprise solutions using MS Azure, proactively conduct system administration, monitoring, and technical efficiency tuning, and automate tasks. They will build and set up new development tools to improve automation and code deployment, focusing on Azure operations and application deployment/configuration. The role involves ownership in diagnosing and resolving issues, determining workaround solutions, and escalating where necessary, troubleshooting infrastructure/software solutions using Azure Web Services, Monitor, and Application Insights. Additionally, the engineer will proactively identify and raise technical risks, produce/update documentation on system processes, effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, comply with IT and Information Security policies, and participate in an after-hours, On-Call rotation.
