Degreed is an upskilling platform focused on lifelong learning and workforce development. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CloudOps Manager to lead our global cloud infrastructure operations. This role involves overseeing cloud environments across Azure and GCP, ensuring system availability, scalability, and security, while leading a team of CloudOps engineers and driving automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in cloud operations.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Cloud Expertise: Deep expertise in Azure and GCP, with multi-cloud experience preferred.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Containerization: Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • CI/CD: Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Splunk.
  • Incident Management: Proven ability to implement and optimize incident detection, response, and resolution.
  • Security: Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Team Leadership: Skilled in mentoring and leading high-performing technical teams.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the CloudOps engineering team, fostering a culture of reliability, growth, and accountability.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP to ensure high availability and scalability.
