We are actively driving new digital capabilities, innovative work methods, and next-generation technology to revolutionize how Medicare Advantage is sold. This role is integral to our expanding Digital organization and crucial for our growth plans.

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product created by the Agile team. This role involves liaising with stakeholders and the development team to ensure the right product is built, in the correct order, within budget, and by the deadline. The Product Owner serves as the Agile team's primary point of contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. This position influences department strategy and makes decisions on moderately complex to complex technical approaches for project components, working with considerable latitude and without direction.

Responsibilities

  • Convey product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing the product backlog.
  • Work directly with the product and development team responsible for building and maintaining our brokerage’s digital channel, which is an eCommerce experience allowing users to compare Medicare insurance options and enroll.
  • Manage an Agile delivery team focused on the eCommerce shopping experience and guide the team through development.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering to define the vision for the specific team.
  • Create a product roadmap based on the aligned vision.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on changing requirements.
  • Develop user stories and lead grooming sessions to ensure requirements are met and signed off.
  • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
  • Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver updates.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints.
  • Review key performance metrics regularly to ensure the digital experience performs acceptably and identify areas for improvement.
  • Accept user stories before release to ensure the final product meets all defined Acceptance Criteria.

  • Value Determination and Prioritization: Exhibit excellent skills in assessing value and understanding feasibility to determine how to sequence the product backlog, including prioritization at multiple levels.
