Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates must have experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud service provider, and experience with cloud infrastructure environments, preferably AWS or Azure. Experience with SIRP, SIEM, and IDS/IPS/WAF solutions, securing containerized applications, release automation (Jenkins, etc.), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging are required. Proficiency in scripting languages (Ruby, Python, etc.), configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, etc.), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and command execution frameworks is necessary, along with a strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills are essential, including the ability to set and enforce process and influence engineers who are not direct reports, and the ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Willingness to work at least 4 overlapping hours with US time zones and participate in an on-call rotation is also required.
The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will be a key player on the Infrastructure and Platform Services team, implementing and operating global customer-facing SaaS infrastructure. Responsibilities include collaborating on projects with team members and other teams, joining the on-call rotation to support the product, proposing projects to improve team work and product security, owning and implementing security improvement projects, becoming a subject matter expert on operational security for products, independently handling on-call incidents, collaborating with developers to securely bring new features and services into production, working with cybersecurity to meet SLAs on vulnerability and misconfiguration remediations, developing and improving operation practices and procedures, and proactively meeting standards for information security and compliance (such as ISO, SOC, SSAE 16, etc.).
