Requirements

Candidates must possess an MS in Data Science, Statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience, with 3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on SQL experience performing open-ended analysis in a work environment is required, along with experience in causal inference, including experimental and observational methods. Experience defining informative metrics, developing actionable reporting, supporting product/marketing teams with opportunity sizing and launch metrics, and working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams is essential. The ability to translate business questions into rigorous and actionable analysis projects is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with stakeholders and team members to scope and prioritize analysis projects that drive impact and inform business and product decisions. They will develop informative, responsive, and relevant metrics for stakeholder teams, and partner with product and business teams to set goals and execute measurement plans for new initiatives. This includes selecting success metrics, reviewing instrumentation plans, and developing launch reporting. The role also involves designing and executing rigorous, actionable analyses using appropriate statistical methods to validate hypotheses and produce predictions, and effectively communicating analysis results to non-technical stakeholders while representing the data perspective in strategy conversations.
