5-8 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing, building, and owning production data pipelines
Deep expertise with cloud-based data warehousing, particularly designing and optimizing schemas in BigQuery
Advanced proficiency with DBT for creating sophisticated, scalable, and maintainable data transformation models
Significant experience with tools like Segment for architecting data collection and event streaming strategies

Responsibilities

Owning and evolving data pipelines into BigQuery, leading efforts to improve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
Architecting and implementing advanced data models using DBT, establishing best practices for testing, documentation, and code quality
Leading the design and implementation of integrations with Segment and other third-party sources, ensuring data consistency and reliability across the platform
Taking ownership of complex data projects, from gathering requirements with BI, Marketing, and Data Science teams to delivering robust, production-ready solutions
Guiding and mentoring other data engineers, leading code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
