Requirements

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with over 7 years of experience operating multi-vendor hyper-scale data center networks and public cloud networks (AWS, GCP, OCI, or equivalent). Expertise in large-scale IP networking technologies and protocols such as MP-BGP, OSPF, VRF, VxLAN, EVPN, QoS, IPSEC, and MACsec is required. Experience with SoNIC network operating system, Linux routing software (FRR, BIRD or equivalent), software load balancers (HAProxy, Ngnix, or equivalent), and managing network configurations using scripts (bash, python) or automation frameworks (Ansible, Chef, Terraform) is necessary. Experience deploying and operating large-scale OpenStack infrastructure (Neutron, Genestack, Nova, Ironic) and operating in FedRAMP or other regulated environments is also required.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will drive initiatives to scale hybrid cloud infrastructure while maintaining consistency and stability. They will collaborate with internal service partners to advance network architecture and meet evolving service requirements. The role involves engaging with external vendors to discuss roadmap alignment, validate new designs, and lead post-mortem discussions. Additionally, the manager will drive operational excellence, develop tools to enhance observability and consistency across multiple hybrid clouds, and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
