Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Engineering, with proven experience implementing ETL/ELT processes. Strong proficiency in SQL is required, along with experience using dbt for transformation stages and working with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. Hands-on experience in data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques is essential. Proven experience maintaining data transformation pipelines, ensuring data availability and quality, meeting SLAs, and communicating status to downstream consumers is necessary. A deep understanding of data engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD methodologies, is required. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, along with a learning mindset and keen interest in new technologies, is also expected. Bonus points for experience with a Customer Data Platform (CDP), ops practices and tools for automated deployment, CI pipeline definition, infrastructure management, and previous leadership or mentorship experience in a data engineering team.
The Senior Data Analytics Engineer will work cross-functionally to help define, build, and deploy the Enterprise Data Warehouse to serve reporting and analytical needs across Fullscript. They will partner with Fullscript’s engineering team and other business stakeholders to define and implement the Customer Data Platform (CDP), using data from various sources to power decision-making about customer acquisition and the customer journey. This role involves writing data transformation code in ELT pipelines and working with data delivery tools to ensure data supports decision-making. The engineer will mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members and influence practitioners of the Analytics Engineering craft throughout the company. Ensuring data models are properly tested and optimized for scalability and performance is a key responsibility, as is creating and maintaining data documentation and definitions.
