About the Role

We’re looking for a top-tier analytics professional based in NYC to deliver insights that drive growth. As a Senior Data Analyst at Clair, you’ll join a growing team of data practitioners who are passionate about bringing financial security to underserved communities by giving workers access to their earnings right when they need them. As a trusted thought partner to product and business teams, you’ll surface impactful insights supporting their goals. Through experimentation, analysis, modeling, and dashboard development, you’ll surface recommendations to enable Clair to reach millions of hourly workers and help them get paid on demand.

The ideal candidate will consider themselves a “full stack” data analyst with experience across the entire data pipeline, including data ingestion, processing, modeling, and visualization. This person will be comfortable with the analytics engineering workflow, mixing technical proficiency with the ability to engage stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage data to drive user growth, identify trends, and influence product and business decisions
  • Partner with business stakeholders across the organization to answer questions and test hypotheses
  • Define and manage key metrics that inform strategic product, growth, and operational decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Put data at the fingertips of stakeholders and enable them to independently explore and utilize data
  • Build efficient data ingestion and transformation pipelines using tools like dbt
  • Develop intuitive dashboards, memos, slides, and other visualizations that tell stories and inspire action
  • Collaborate to brainstorm ideas, verify analyses, and review the work of your peers to ensure accuracy and quality

Qualifications

  • 4–5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, ideally in fast-paced, high-impact environments
  • Strong proficiency with the modern data stack, especially Snowflake and dbt, including building and maintaining data models
  • Experience with a scripting language like Python or R
  • Fluent in SQL (translating business questions to queries, understanding joins and functions, and building data pipelines)
  • Solid foundation in experimental design and statistical analysis to support decision-making and measure business impact
  • Comfortable owning projects end-to-end and collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders (e.g., product, finance, ops)

Things We Consider a Plus

  • Interest in financial systems and consumer behavior
  • Experience with machine learning or statistical modeling
  • Experience in a high-growth start-up, regulated environment

Additional Details

  • Location: This is a hybrid position based out of New York City. You will be expected to come into the office at least three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays) with additional days on occasion for client meetings.
  • Compensation: The annual base salary for this role is $150,000-$157,000. The base pay for this role is determined using many factors, such as education, skills, and experience, and is reflective of Clair Series stage and size. Base pay is only one part of Clair’s competitive total compensation package which includes equity, benefits, and additional perks.
