Requirements
Proven experience working with dbt (Data Build Tool) in a production environment is required. Candidates must have a strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, SQL performance tuning, and best practices. Proficiency in SQL, experience building transformation pipelines, and familiarity with Git version control workflows are essential. Experience with dbt documentation, testing, and deployment practices, as well as working with small, fast-moving teams and stakeholders across an organization, is also necessary.
Responsibilities
The role involves maintaining existing dbt models by implementing new business logic or fixing failing models, and creating new models as business needs evolve. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshooting data, optimizing model performance, maintaining documentation, and monitoring dbt runs to resolve any issues. The contractor will also ensure data quality and consistency across the pipeline.
