Candidates should possess at least 6 years of experience in a support role within a SaaS company, demonstrating expertise in Python or similar scripting languages and a strong understanding of Kubernetes and/or cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and GCP. They should also have experience troubleshooting distributed components/services and log analysis, along with a proven track record of success in a support environment and a strong grasp of enterprise user management and access control policies.
As a Senior Customer Engineer, the individual will provide customer support and resolve technical issues through Zendesk tickets and live video calls, acting as the first point of contact for enterprise customers and offering critical product and architecture advice. They will excel at understanding and demonstrating the platform features, advise and instruct on open source tools compatible with Instabase, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, define support processes, and participate in the monthly on-call rotation schedule, proactively identifying and building processes to address recurring issues and developing their technical skills through hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Python scripting.
