Candidates should possess 5-8 years of relevant transactional experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and/or technology agreements. Strong experience within a technology company and a solid understanding of intellectual property and patent law are required.
As a Senior Counsel, the individual will provide high-quality legal advice and support to Western Digital’s Procurement and Engineering organizations, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing commercial contracts such as professional services agreements, purchase agreements, and license agreements. They will also identify and advise on risks associated with transactions, propose mitigation strategies, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel, while supporting the contract management process and undertaking special projects as needed.
