Candidates must have a strong understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements, including money transmitter licensing (MTL), regulatory reporting, escheatment/abandoned property management, and customer due diligence (CDD). Previous experience overseeing escheatment and state MTL licensing programs, including preparing and submitting filings through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), is required. Experience with enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews for retail and institutional clients, including verification of identity, beneficial ownership, and source of funds/wealth, is also necessary.
The Senior Compliance Analyst will maintain and renew over 40 state money transmitter licenses, manage a large portfolio of regulatory reporting obligations, and oversee compliance with state unclaimed property and escheatment requirements. This role involves conducting comprehensive CDD and EDD reviews, investigating escalations related to PEPs, sanctions screening, and adverse media, and supporting various teams with due diligence reviews on escalated cases and suspicious activity. The analyst will also coordinate with state regulators, document and streamline compliance workflows, and serve as a point of contact for regulators and auditors on escheatment-related matters.
