Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in regulatory licensing, compliance, legal, or related fields, preferably within fintech, payments, or financial services. Hands-on experience with Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs) or similar financial regulatory licenses is strongly preferred, along with a strong understanding of U.S. state-level financial regulation and/or international licensing regimes. Exceptional organizational skills, clear and confident communication abilities, and excellent writing and documentation skills are essential. Prior experience scaling licensing processes for a high-growth fintech or crypto company is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Licensing Associate will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end process of obtaining and maintaining Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs) across U.S. states and managing applications for international regulatory licenses. This includes drafting, reviewing, and submitting licensing applications and supporting documentation, coordinating with internal teams to ensure license obligations are met, and tracking deadlines and renewals. The role also involves monitoring global regulatory developments, flagging potential impacts on licensing strategy, and contributing to process improvements for scalability and efficiency.
