Sixth Street is seeking a talented Cloud Platform Engineer to join a small, ambitious engineering team. This role requires a proactive individual who can think critically and understand the impact of their decisions. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, including designing new reference architectures using tools like AWS CDK, Azure Blueprints, GCP Deployment Manager, HashiCorp Terraform, writing IAM policies, building GitHub Actions (GHA) workflows, instrumenting code, deploying Cloud Custodian policies, and remediating security incidents. You'll also be expected to educate developers on cloud technologies and manage external vendors. The ideal candidate is comfortable delegating, automating tasks, seeking help when needed, and knowing when to say "no."

Core Responsibilities

• Combines software and systems knowledge, striving for "IEEE -ilities" and embracing OWASP principles for secure system design.
• Proficient in various operating systems (e.g., *nix shell syntaxes, Windows CLI, GNU/Linux).
• Capable of debugging Python 3.x and understanding JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of the Cloud as an API atop physical and real-world components.
• Experience with containerized solutions and traditional server-oriented software.
