Montu is seeking a Senior Category Insights Analyst to play a critical role in shaping the company's product and portfolio strategy through data-driven insights. This role involves translating quantitative and qualitative data into actionable recommendations for pricing, product, and category decisions. The analyst will partner with Category Managers to build reporting frameworks, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives with compelling commercial narratives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can balance detail with strategic context, and is passionate about using insights to influence business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth pricing analysis and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Track industry trends, competitor strategies, and market shifts to inform category and product strategies.
  • Develop dashboards and scorecards to monitor pricing effectiveness, promotional impact, sales, and margin trends.
  • Build models to evaluate pricing and cost changes and forecast their impact on profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and BI teams to align strategies, share insights, and improve reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in pricing, category, or commercial analysis with a strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with data tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, managing ambiguity and competing priorities effectively.
  • Proactive and curious mindset, with a passion for building processes, tools, and strategies to support business scaling and continuous improvement.
