Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Golang or similar programming languages with strong programming fundamentals, including C++ and OO principles. Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, comfort with Linux, and experience with Docker and Kubernetes are essential. The role also requires experience designing, building, and documenting APIs, writing and maintaining unit tests, and fluent English language skills. Experience in database monitoring, system observability, cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure, and open-source development are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will develop scalable, high-volume, performant applications focused on simplicity and user delight, producing high-quality, unit-tested, and code-reviewed software for continuous integration. Responsibilities include collaborating intensely with other engineers, designers, and product managers, participating in code and design reviews, and identifying and upholding engineering best practices. The engineer will also identify, leverage, and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity, and train, mentor, and support other engineers.
