Candidates should have 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer, ideally in SaaS or B2B platforms. Fluency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, with a deep understanding of software engineering best practices is required. Experience delivering client-facing solutions, whether in implementation, consulting, or embedded technical roles, and excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders and external clients, are also necessary.
The Senior Back-End Engineer will engage directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives. They will design and implement tailored technical solutions using Deel's and partner APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and other engineers to deliver customer-specific and scalable product improvements, feeding real-world use cases back into the product roadmap. Responsibilities also include building and enhancing product features, debugging issues, improving reliability, providing technical support during onboarding and post-sale, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers.
