Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in a professional accounting position, specifically as a Staff/Senior Accountant. Experience with large ERP systems like NetSuite or Sage is preferred, as is a background in healthcare or health insurance accounting. Exceptional communication skills, critical thinking abilities, efficient time management, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates must also have strong computer literacy, typing skills, and a solid understanding of accounting theory and its application.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will support daily, monthly, and annual finance department activities, including complex vendor payment reconciliations, resolving issues with independent contractors, and assisting with month-end closing processes such as balance sheet reconciliations and corrections. Responsibilities also include managing full-cycle AP functions, performing AP reconciliations for doctors, reviewing outstanding payments, and handling AP email inquiries. Additionally, the role involves cross-training and supporting AR functions like billing, revenue uploads, payment application, and collections, as well as other assigned duties and special projects.
