The SME & Growth Business team is dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the global economy. We combine financial expertise with a growth mindset to help clients streamline cross-border payments and unlock new revenue streams.

What You'll Do

Join the US SMB & Growth travel team to showcase how Airwallex's product suite addresses pain points in the travel industry, including cross-border payments and currency fluctuation mitigation. This role requires a customer-first mentality, a solution-focused approach, curiosity, and a desire to make an impact. Your primary focus will be acquiring new SMB travel customers by pitching, negotiating, and driving internal processes for successful partnerships.

This role is based in either New York City or Remote.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing with travel businesses, managing complex buying scenarios and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Identify high-potential travel clients through targeted outreach, industry events, and strategic networking to build a robust pipeline.
  • Build strong relationships and close deals with key travel businesses, establishing Airwallex as a major player in travel payments.
  • Identify and explore new sub-verticals within the travel industry to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Ensure clients effectively leverage the platform to maximize value and drive strong retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance, strategy) to structure successful partnerships.
  • Share best practices, contribute to team strategies, and elevate sales excellence.

Who You Are

We are looking for individuals who meet the minimum qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of inside and/or field sales experience closing net new business in a high-growth company.
  • Experience in travel, fintech, and/or international payments is a must.
  • A customer-focused, consultative approach to sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for financial technology and its impact on global business.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and cultures.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex selling environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
