Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Life science, engineering or another relevant degree
  • At least 3 years selling experience in a sales role in the medical device industry
  • Knowledge of the local market and of the decision making process with customers (economic buyer, reimbursement)
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish
  • SalesForce or similar competencies
  • Full clean driver license
  • Advanced presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Team oriented

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Medtronic’s products and services within the assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Perform all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy) from product introduction and presentation to contract negotiation
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders
  • Further increase penetration in existing accounts, develop existing accounts into potential new product therapies/patient therapies and develop actual non-buying accounts
  • Build, together with regional and business manager, strong and lasting business relationships with key opinion leaders and key decision makers influential in the purchasing process
  • Identify, prepare and execute upcoming tenders
  • Carry out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner (i.e. sales force, customer reports, stock reports, monthly reports, forecasting, etc.)
  • Maintain and develop the Endoscopy business in the North of Portugal with existing and new customers in line with the Regional Sales Manager and business guidelines in the defined sales territory while meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets
