Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sales planning, identify gaps, and develop action plans to achieve goals
  • Collaborate with internal partners to achieve intended outcomes
  • Supervise and assess ongoing new business results and promptly anticipate and address negative new business variances or trends
  • Build and maintain a sales-focused culture
  • Mentor and develop, problem solve and strategize with the sales team to develop revenue opportunities
  • Proactively and consistently communicate the Kemper Auto vision and goals in alignment with expectations from the sales team
  • Hold sales team accountable to op model standards, top line goals, and sales strategies relative to intended outcome (performance tracking and reporting)
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to assist sales team and agents in identifying opportunities
  • Attend and deliver quarterly reporting and reviews with agency relationships
  • Provide an outstanding experience for agents through consultative selling
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents at all levels within the agency
  • Drive new business growth, mix of business, retention, and profitability within assigned territory
  • Stay current on product and pricing trends to drive intended outcomes
  • Actively participate in regional strategy meetings to develop and lead execution of business goals
  • Assist in the implementation of new production launches
  • Coach and mentor peers, transitioning from an individual contributor to a team lead
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external relationships to ensure the achievement of goals and outcomes
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Kemper Auto Personal and Commercial product
