Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in selling professional or managed IT services within the cloud, application, analytics, data management, and data infrastructure space. Previous experience in a senior sales role with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets in the information technology or professional services sector, particularly in hunting for new business and solving client challenges with technology, is required. Experience selling cloud technologies and services, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure, along with a deep understanding of public cloud platforms, is also necessary. Cloud certifications are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

The Sales Executive will develop and execute a territory plan, including target account expansion strategies and tactics, and maintain a robust sales pipeline. They will develop leads, campaigns, and new go-to-market strategies, uncover opportunities within net new accounts, accelerate customer adoption, build long-term strategic relationships with key accounts, and work with Pythian’s partners. The role involves managing contract negotiations, leading pre-sale activities, maintaining accurate customer interaction records, providing sales projections, and meticulously updating the CRM (Salesforce.com). Additionally, the Sales Executive will travel as needed to meet with prospects and clients, attend industry events, and participate in annual sales kickoff meetings.
