Pythian is seeking a Sales Executive with experience in hunting for new business, developing relationships with C and VP-level executives, and selling disruptive products and services. The ideal candidate will represent a leading IT consulting company in the data management space.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory plan, including target account expansion strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Generate leads, develop campaigns, and create new go-to-market strategies.
  • Uncover opportunities within net-new accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Accelerate customer adoption of Pythian services.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Collaborate with Pythian's partners.
  • Manage contract negotiations and lead pre-sale activities.
  • Maintain thorough records of customer interactions and provide sales projections.
  • Meticulously update CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Travel as required for in-person meetings with prospects and clients, conferences, trade shows, industry events, and annual sales kickoff meetings.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 10+ years of experience selling professional or managed IT services in the cloud, application, analytics, data management, and data infrastructure space.
  • Previous experience in a senior sales role with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets in the IT or professional services sector.
  • Proven ability in hunting for new business and a desire to help clients solve difficult business problems with technology.
  • Experience selling cloud technologies and services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).
  • Deep understanding of the purpose and role of various public cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the vital role of data in the application and analytics space.
  • Cloud certifications are an asset.
