Requirements

Candidates must be based in Japan with native Japanese language skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales development or similar outbound commercial role is required. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary, as well as being self-motivated, results-driven, and eager to learn. Candidates should be able to work autonomously and self-source solutions, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets in a quota-carrying role. Experience with CRM systems and sales engagement tools is a plus, and prior experience in an HR or Fintech company, as well as working in a fast-growing startup or remote and distributed team, is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Sales Development Representative will generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including email, phone, and social media outreach. They will identify and qualify prospective clients by understanding their needs and challenges, and schedule product demonstrations for qualified prospects with Account Executives. Collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to improve lead generation strategies is expected, along with consistently achieving monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generation. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system and participating in regular sales training and professional development opportunities are also key duties.
