Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Previous retail experience is preferred, and a willingness to learn about culinary products and Sur La Table’s offerings is essential.
The Sales Associate will provide an exceptional customer experience by assisting customers with product information, location, pricing, and availability, processing sales transactions and returns, and proactively seeking out customers to determine their needs. They will also maintain product knowledge, share product assortment and services, demonstrate products, ensure pricing integrity, maintain a clean store environment, and follow all Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures. Additionally, the Sales Associate will work as part of a team to achieve store sales goals, record time worked accurately, and demonstrate exceptional communication skills with employees and customers, while also protecting customers, employees, and company assets and notifying management of safety risks.
