Requirements

Candidates must possess proven culinary expertise, potentially through formal training or professional kitchen experience, and a strong understanding of how home cooks approach cooking. Digital media proficiency is essential, including experience creating high-performing digital food content across various platforms like social media, apps, newsletters, and YouTube, coupled with fluency in content strategy, platform best practices, and audience behavior. Familiarity with leading cooking, recipe, and meal planning applications and websites is required. Exceptional communication, storytelling, and recipe writing skills are necessary, with the ability to craft clear, accurate, and engaging recipes and compelling narratives. Experience converting data insights into actionable creative strategies is also expected.

Responsibilities

The Culinary Content Lead will define and execute innovative content strategies for Tastemade's recipes and meal plans to drive engagement and growth for Tastemade Cooking and Tastemade+. Responsibilities include monitoring and adapting to food, cooking, and digital content trends, auditing and expanding the existing recipe library, and fostering user engagement by answering culinary questions. The role also involves overhauling and optimizing the Tastemade weekly newsletter to boost engagement and conversions, collaborating with the Product team to enhance recipe metadata and user experience, and aligning with social and streaming teams for a cohesive editorial strategy. Additionally, the lead will provide culinary expertise for recipe-based content, share food trends and tips, and oversee branded recipes for editorial voice and culinary standards.
