Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Possible professional certification: Preferred certifications may include Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant certifications in risk management and internal controls
  • Roughly 3-5 years of experience in risk management, internal controls, audit, or a related field within the financial services industry, asset management or investment management
  • Ability to assist in the development and maintenance of holistic and integrated risk and internal control frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify key risk and control issues
  • Effective project management skills to oversee the embedding of controls within Business Process Descriptions (BPDs) and champion first-line risk ownership

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the holistic and integrated risk and internal control framework
  • Assist in the delivery of the annual control assurance plan
  • Assist in the development and execution of global RCSA plan
  • Oversee embedding of controls within BPDs and champion first line risk ownership
  • Manage relationships with external auditors for internal control assurance reports
  • Provide input into global and local risk reporting with respect to RCSAs and controls testing
