Requirements

2 (or less) years of experience in a position or specialization
Experience interacting with and serving consumers
Ability to operate Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems and other retail software tools
Ability to communicate clearly with others
16 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Ability to work in a frequently active, physical environment (e.g., constantly move about, adjust/move items up to 40 lbs.)
Ability to use specialized equipment
Tolerance for exposure to dust and noise
Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally

Responsibilities

Maintain store and visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards
Retrieve merchandise from stock room and other inventory locations to restock the sales floor
Perform cash register transactions (e.g., sales, returns, and exchanges) efficiently and accurately
Connect consumers to the company loyalty programs
Contribute to store profitability by receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products accurately and efficiently
Serve consumers by responding to questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability; ask questions to understand needs and assist with buying decisions
Support Columbia Sportswear Company values to enhance consumer experience and teamwork with fellow employees
Acquire necessary knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute day-to-day operations
Ensure product availability and create visual displays
Handle customer inquiries and process transactions
Assist the Store Leadership team
