Responsibilities

  • Manage the construction process for new, relocated, and expanded stores
  • Manage the construction process for remodels and renovations of existing stores
  • Ensure Dollar Tree quality and financial standards are met
  • Visit store project sites to confirm construction progress and schedule
  • Hold Landlords, Architects/Engineers, and General Contractors accountable
  • Communicate with landlords and internal partners regarding project timeliness
  • Keep all internal and external stakeholders updated on project status
  • Input, maintain, and manage construction key dates in the project management system
  • Simultaneously manage 30-50 projects per year
  • Solicit and train new and existing general contractors
  • Recommend selection of general contractors after bid vetting
  • Award construction contracts after cost variance analysis
  • Effectively manage all facets of the Construction Contract
  • Conduct site visits to ensure projects are kept on schedule
  • Manage the RFC and CO process, analyzing legitimacy and cost of change orders
  • Ensure completion of store punch list items and follow up on warranty items
  • Maintain and input all construction key dates and upload documents into the SLM program
  • Provide cost estimates on new projects
  • Meet with stakeholders to conduct project autopsies and identify lessons learned
