Requirements

  • Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest first culture on your team
  • Knowledge of retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies
  • Skills in planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals
  • Skills in process improvements and workload efficiency
  • Leading a team of hourly team members; including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent

Responsibilities

  • Help keep store workload related to the remodel project timely through daily collaboration with store and construction teams at the direction of direct leader
  • Lead and direct remodel transition process, inclusive of fixtures, signs, displays, etc. in partnership with store TLs and TMs
  • Proactively identify issues and follow correct escalation paths to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload in partnership with the ETL Remodel
  • With the guidance from the ETL Remodel, establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations
  • Help train and lead a knowledgeable and engaged remodel team at the direction of ETL Remodel
  • Help communicate weekly remodel workload and milestone progress to appropriate partners and be a conduit for information and feedback
  • Lead a culture of excellence: executing all operational tasks per best practices and helping to close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences
  • Model creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you & your team are completing your daily tasks
  • Demonstrate how to engage with guests when assistance is needed, engage with guests in a welcoming way, and help solve their specific needs
  • Lead by thanking guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
  • If applicable, as a key carrier
