The Relationship Manager serves as the primary contact for clients, providing world-class client service, technical expertise, and proactive risk management.

Requirements

  • Current Florida 2-20 License (or state equivalent): Required by the State Department of Insurance.
  • College Degree: Preferred.
  • Professional Designations: A plus (e.g., CPCU, CIC).
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in personal insurance, including:
    • Insurance company contracts and guidelines
    • Proprietary insurer systems
    • Claim knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Client Service: Provides proactive day-to-day client service by anticipating and evaluating client needs and responding to client questions and issues (in person, via email, or by telephone).
  • Exposure Review: Reviews client exposures, underwriting memos, and loss experience along with current coverages.
  • Counseling: Advises and counsels on complex risk exposures.
  • Inspection Review: Reviews inspection reports, accuracy on coverage potential loss prevention issues, and provides proactive direction to resolve claims.
  • Proposal Creation: Creates and presents private risk management renewal proposals & agendas to existing clients and conducts annual interactive reviews, when needed.
  • Platform Utilization: Understands, introduces, and leverages the holistic platform (including employee benefits, commercial insurance, and asset protection).
  • Partner Relationships: Cultivates strong relationships with insurance company partners and is accountable for knowing insurer contracts, requirements, and attributes.
  • Accuracy & Timeliness: Maintains a concern for accuracy, timeliness, and completion when interacting with clients, the firm, and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
  • Market Placement: Serves as a market placement specialist by often remarketing existing programs to ensure the firm keeps pace with clients’ needs.
  • Industry Updates: Remains up to date on industry offerings and makes proactive recommendations to clients.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrates strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes.
  • Issue Reporting: Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
