Requirements

  • Based in Toronto (on-site role)
  • Experience managing regulatory compliance for money services businesses (MSB) in Canada
  • Ability to deliver regulatory engagement strategy and manage MSB licensing program
  • Expertise in coordinating with internal/external parties for compliance, including regulators
  • Skills in analyzing products for regulatory compliance and providing 2LOD guidance
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulatory obligations, licensing, reporting, exams, and inquiries

Responsibilities

  • Support Airwallex Group’s expansion by managing regulatory compliance components of license authorisation processes
  • Act as key stakeholder in license applications, business plan updates, and information requests with regulators
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and integrity risk reporting obligations are maintained for Airwallex Group entities in the Americas region
  • Support and/or manage on-site exams and inspections (in collaboration with LRC colleagues)
  • Advise the business on regulatory change initiatives, focusing on managing compliance risk from new laws and regulations
  • Develop policies, processes, and provide advice in relation to regulatory requirements
  • Maintain licensing responsibilities, file reports, renew registrations/licenses, manage regulatory examinations, and interface with MSB regulators
  • Analyze new/existing products, ensure 2LOD controls are fit for purpose, and guide first line business on processes and features
